Basketry with Reed Spokes

Using round reed, you will create a basket top on a gourd vase or bowl.  The reed will be the spokes of the basket as well as provide structure for the top.  You will also incorporate soft weaving materials such as jute, seagrass and yarns.  To provide texture you may incorporate beads on the spokes.
